Mobile Security: What Does It Mean?

Mobile Security: what does it mean?

Many companies choose to have Mobile Patrols instead of employing full time security guards. A mobile patrol involves security guards visiting your site at specified periods. The frequency of visits depends on your requirement. You may only need a mobile patrol in the evenings or you may require several visits throughout the day and night.

You can also decide on the detail of the inspection. You may decide a patrol of the exterior is sufficient, where guards check entrances are secured and there are no signs of criminal activity. Alternatively, you may prefer a thorough investigation of both the interior and exterior where guards conduct a full walk through of the building.

Mobile security is a great option for businesses that do not require someone on site 24 hours a day. For unoccupied buildings and low risk buildings, mobile security services can be far more cost effective than manned guarding.

Benefits of Mobile Security

As well as being extremely cost effective, Mobile Security provides many benefits.

Having a regular patrol creates a visible security presence that acts as a deterrent to vandals and thieves. Security guards will prevent unauthorised personnel from entering your property and ensure that windows and doors are secure.

It’s not just criminal activity that the guards are trained to look out for. They also check properties for any signs of fire or flood. They can easily identify risks such as electric heaters that have been left on by mistake, or flammable materials that may have been dumped near to the building.

Where building sites are not in use, the security patrols will keep an eye on the premises ensuring that any broken windows, vandalism or damage is quickly reported and rectified.

Mobile patrols often work out less expensive than alternative security measures. This is because mobile security can be used to cover several properties in the same area and the cost is split across the properties.

Some companies choose to use mobile security in conjunction with other security measures such as remote CCTV monitoring.

If you don’t currently have any security measures in place for your business then mobile security can be a good starting point. It is recommended that you choose a reputable security company and ensure that you are comfortable with the level of security they provide.
